Penny lives in the pretty village of Kirk Yetholm, near Kelso, in the Scottish Borders.
Gaining her Honours Degree with Distinction at Liverpool Art College, she worked in different aspects of the Art world, from making and performing with marionettes, designing award winning greeting cards, sculpting for the major gift companies, to designing prestigious enamel boxes (even painting enamel portraits for the Mountbattens) to making clocks for Royal Doulton. She now focusses on watercolour portraiture, but is proud she can use any material and employ any technique.
She enjoys teaching, demonstrating and running workshops for local art societies. She rarely exhibits, having lost all her artwork in her very first Art Show. She is currently working on her website which will offer over 100 of her tutorial videos, covering many aspects of painting and drawing, on a subscription basis.
She has 5 children, mostly grown up, but having twins late in life keeps her busy, as do her two sprockers, cat and husband.
