Due to my father being in the R.A.F. I travelled widely and this "bug" has never left me as I love to visit, paint and make art films, both here, and in many countries abroad. I was a full time Head of Art & design teaching in both the state and private sectors for 22 years and have continued my teaching, writing, art & crafts ever since within early retirement for the past 20 plus! My interests are diverse as I, also, play Irish music, am an advanced clay shooting instructor and several other skills but my life is centred around my art, filming and photography. I have written articles for many well known publications such as Leisure painter, International artist, and more - even the S.A.A. magazine years ago, as a founder member! I have enjoyed art residencies in stately homes in the U.K. plus The Deep in Hull and Plymouth sea life centre and abroad in Palmerston Gallery New Zealand and Savannah University. I lived for 8 years in the south of France where I had my own gallery and had a wonderful adventure but lost touch slightly with all here! Now I have returned and, in winter, offer workshops, teaching, demonstrations and paint commissions, plus continuing my artwork for Castel galleries and Washington Green. In summer I live in my renovated large farmhouse in the Creuse valley where I paint, fish and run small quality residential art vacations.
