Although oil painting is my first love, I enjoy using watercolour, gouache, acrylics, and pastels. Over the years, I have exhibited with local Art Societies, including the Grosvenor Art Society in Chester, in the North Wales Travelling Exhibition, at the London Royal Exchange and at galleries in Shrewsbury and Evesham.
I have held three successful one woman shows. My favourite painters include Terence Cuneo, Edward Seago and Russell Flint and Hazel Soan.
In August 2010, I decided to paint a series of painting using all the bridges over my local river, the Dee, to improve my compositional skills. some of them were a real headache. Then in 2016, I published the paintings with compositional notes, and interesting details I had discovered about the bridges themselves in book form,
"The Bridges of Dee" .
