Toulla Simon - Hadjigeorgiou

Watford, Hertfordshire

When I was 12, my parents bought me an oil painting set and that was the start of my painting career. I have always loved the old masters, and I give credit to these as I learnt from studying their work. I have my own unique style and technique, especially evident in the use of watercolour. By 19 I had work accepted at exhibitions in London and two of my paintings were bought by an art publisher. I had no idea what became of these paintings until years later one of them was spotted on the wall of the Trotter's flat of Only Fools and Horses. Solo exhibitions have been in London, Watford and Cyprus with national TV coverage in Cyprus. My work has been featured in magazines such as the SAA’s Paint, Artists and Illustrators, The Artist, Italia Magazine, Hertfordshire Life and others. Works are in private collections in U.K, USA, Canada, Cyprus and commissions undertaken have been people and pet portraits, pubs, hotels and private homes, some of which can be viewed on my websitewww.toullafineart.co.uk and Instagram. As well as working for clients’ commissions, I also enjoy teaching groups and individuals in my home studio.
