Annie
Annie is my friend Julie's cat. She is a Seal Point Birman. I was struck by the intense blue of her eyes contrasting with the neutral colours of her wonderful, soft fur. Annie has given birth to several litters of beautiful kittens so far, which I have also painted.
My painting is in watercolour and influenced by the paintings of Jean Haines, whose paintings I admire greatly. I added a little sepia ink and whitle gel pen to portray Annie's whiskers.
