Autumn Chestnut Elf
Inspired by the rich autumn leaves and light on walks through the beautiful woodland close to my home in East Sussex, I decided to work on a small series of oil paintings exploring the elemental and natural world in the fall.
Once again I have featured the red squirrel with an elf as they work together as a team to harvest the chestnuts in the woodland. Here you can see the pair as they take them to the store room in the oak tree.
