Before the Fall
Although I planned some of this painting such as the face, a lot of the background , its textures layers and colours came naturally and organically.
It is based on my daughter who is an old soul, wise beyond her years, hugely sensitive but has strength of character and determination that is seldom seen in a young person. She has faced huge chaIlenges in her life and I wanted that reflected here, sadness as well as courage
