Having spent many years studying the local cattle markets and farms for paintings, I only recently realised the beauty of the rare chickens that my husband breeds at our home. I just love the way that you can focus all of the attention on the cockerels face and the rest of the painting sort of "whooshes" away into the abstract. I feel like it really gives a sense of movement and a fleeting moment caught in time. Having only recently discovered the joys of BRUSHO I am having so much fun using it to create these expressive splashy images.
