It can take time to build the right depth and colour - usually with a bright bay or chestnut coat I'd use a purple/red for the shadows but this one I used Burnt Sienna and Mars Black for the darker areas.
Created using mainly Derwent Lightfast pencils on clairefontaine pastelmat.
