I painted this from a reference photo I took on a business trip to Venice, the two guys in the middle looking towards us are my work friends waiting for me to join them. When I saw the colours and the shadows with all those contrasts, I had to paint it. It's 30 inches by 24 inches in oil on a stretched canvas.
