The painting was based on a photo that I originally found in Google Images a few years ago, but the horse in the photograph had reins attached. I felt the personality of the horse would show through better without reins so left them out! Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the photographer and, despite searching in the current Google Images, I've have been unable to find any trace of the photograph, so, unfortunately, I can't give the photographer the credit he or she deserves. This painting was sold to friends who have it, pride of place - hanging in their lounge.
This painting was sold, but I would be prepared to paint another different horse as a commission if requested to do so.
