The original painting is now sold but prints are available on my website, www.juliatannerart.co.uk
I have been aware that I have been using a great deal of different products in my paintings which has, perhaps, made it difficult for my students to know what to purchase. This year, therefore, I decided to experiment with different paint and mediums in order to streamline my approach. This coincided with the launch of the new SAA Acrylics so I purchased several different colours of these together with a variety of different mediums available through the SAA. I like sections of my paintings to be very shiny and for the paint to be quite runny, Liquitex pouring medium proved perfect and I used this with the SAA Acrylics to paint the cars. The rest of the painting was completed with the acrylics straight from the tube. I used a painting knife and several brushes and am delighted with the finished result, the colours are vibrant and I think I've managed to capture the impression of speed.
