Is this my best side?
I am fascinated with Zebras and how each has its own unique pattern of stripes rather like a human fingerprint. I was inspired to paint this one from a photo of a herd of zebras in a magazine but decided to just concentrate on the head and shoulders. I wanted to make it look as though it had just wandered into the picture which is why its placed to the bottom right. It made a pleasant change too to work in monochrome, something I rarely do. I plan to do more zebra portraits.
