Madonna and child
This has been painted on a print of Christmas carols - I want to print this years Christmas cards from it. I wanted a contemporary version of the traditional Christmas portrait. Mary has quite a direct, protective stare - she may have been not much more than a young girl but, by the time the baby was born, she would have been through quite a tumultuous 9 months.
