Only Connect- A Modern Greek Chorus

In Greek tragedy the Chorus observed the action and commented through dance, recitation, song led by a dominant character. For me, the comparison with this football crowd is palpable. Inspired by World Cup 2023.
One of the key challenges in its composition was whether to track which arms and legs belonged to which character, eventually I realised that it was irrelevant to the energy of the painting. A second challenge was to portray the passion of the fans, were they ecstatic or in despair or both?
