Outback Dunny

Alex Doyle

The dunny is an Australian outside toilet. Dunnies were emptied by the dunny man who came round regularly with a dunny cart. The word comes from British dialect dunnekin meaning an earth closet. I can only guess that the magnificent display of flowers is a result of the proximity of good manure.
