Outside the Damascus Gate
A woman sells grapes to passers by outside the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem. The outstretched hand represents all who buy. The sun lies beyond, fabric, textiles, pottery, spices, cherries, coriander, flatbread, falafels, and souvenirs for pilgrims and all who walk on by. She is there when I walk past the next day.
