Poppies
Recent painting from last Summer painted from a photo very inspired by Poppies was the first subject matter I painted in 1978, been inspired as was Monet, who still is powerful inspiration even now. This painting was started on a black background, built up from the back to the foreground, in acrylics, and then overlaid with Oils. Subtle colours, ethereal sense of Poppies flowing with the breeze. Commissions taken for floral works.
