Songzanlin Monastery

This is a painting of the spectacular Songzanlin Monastery, Shangri-La, in the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, China. After climbing many steps and visiting all the temples within the monastery, I followed a pathway around the lake to get this amazing view, the golden temple roofs glistening in the sunshine and reflecting into the waters of the lake.
