This painting of a woodland path depicts a typical couple walking arm in arm, no doubt, enjoying the sound of the birds, and the river, appreciating the many trees and of course their own company ! The painting is based on a photograph taken while I, myself, was enjoying a springtime woodland walk along the River Derwent near to Calver Mill in Derbyshire.
