The 'Palace of Westminster' Quirky Version

Lizzy Hewitt

I decided to quirk up my original sketch for this interpretation of Westminster. I imagined it as a fisheye, incorporating the side view running from the Elizabeth Tower towards the end of the building along Westminster Bridge, as anchor points. I'd seen pictures of the morning sun saturating this side of the building making a lovely warm yellow glow against a vivid blue sky. The heightened colours and the distorted structure adds to the excitment of the piece. More intensity has been added by incorporating clouds and a textured sky.
