This old Sycamore tree was well known and was a popular spot on the Roman Wall, known as Hadrian's Wall. The tree became an icon for Northumberland and was a rallying point for many visitors to the area as well as locals. The tree was unlawfully cut down in October 2023 and will be sadly missed by many.
