View from the Tissington Trail

While walking the Tissington Trail with my daughter, Alison, she pointed out the view and suggested I paint it - so I agreed and photographs were taken to include the signpost, the stile, the stone wall, the gate and of course the wonderful panorama of the Derbyshire landscape beyond. This painting originated from that moment and captures those elements, but, also, I hope it transmits to you, as it does to me, a sense of of peace and tranquillity.
