Commission: View of Kings Bromley, on Trent, by Arthur Tindle, after Thomas Gainsborough
I was asked to paint this picture by a couple who live very close to the spot where Gainsborough would have painted the view in 1778. They did have a very dark A4 sized photo of the original painting by Gainsborough, but wanted a larger and lighter version that would enable them to enjoy the details that were too dark on the photo. So I agreed and was pleased to be able to produce a painting that they can now enjoy !
