Lots of fun to paint, this was inspired by our club's summer exhibition 2023 which had the theme of "The Coronation". This is how I interpreted it. In the planning of it, I had in mind an earlier (and very much failed) attempt of a boy gazing out of a bedroom window. This composition works much better.
I am proud to say that it caught the still-life vote AOTY 2023. Thank you all!
