Winter Mist Matlock Bath
My favourite colour is Titanium White! I was going to say Ultra Marine Blue but then I thought which colour do I re order the most, what can I possibly not live without?Titanium dioxide is highly refractive due to its strong UV light absorbing capabilities and its resistance to discolouration under ultraviolet light. When used as a pigment it is the whitest of whites. Titanium white is essential to me I use it as a base before I start a painting so as to make everything brighter I mix it with almost all my colours to heighten the key. And most importantly of all I use it at the very end of my misty paintings like this one with a dry stencil brush to create that wintery mist rolling over the hills. It is also good for creating the illusion of distance by brushing it over very lightly the furthest away details. Which reminds me I must place another order!
