Who does not love wildlife? My favourite subjects to paint are animals – usually big, with bold colours and a loose painterly style, capturing mooovement and moooood (pardon the puns)! On my workshop, we will lightly sketch in pencil an outline of a highland cow, omitting detail where we will then be using lots of wet into wet watercolour creating some patterns/blooms initially. We will continue with some glazing/layering to build up our highland before completing with a rigger and ink for the finer details with a spatter for good measure.
