Held by Carol Rogers
I run workshops from the (upstairs) studio in my home in Oxhey, Watford; three afternoons in the spring (March,) three in the summer (July) and three in autumn (October)on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1.45-5pm.
The spring and autumn workshops are ‘paint-along’ in style and are suitable for all abilities from beginners as well as more experienced students. Afternoon workshops take up to six students at a time. Media is watercolour based and sometimes includes other media.
The workshops are themed. Subjects include: Landscapes, seascapes & flowers etc. The Autumn workshop’s theme in 2018 is LANDSCAPE. Workshops focus on use of media, composition, brushwork, colour mixing etc to give the student a broader base from which to work.
Summer workshops are held in my pretty cottage garden (weather permitting). Tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Students choose their own subject matter from the garden and a range of media is available to try in addition to the students’ own usual media. (If the weather is poor, my upstairs studio is used with flowers or plants set up as still life subjects or there are interesting views through the windows.
I am an experienced demonstrator and also run workshops for art clubs and societies within a 15 mile radius from my home. Recent demonstrations/workshops include: Gadebridge Art Group in Hemel Hempstead, Herts, Hughenden Art Group in Bucks, Ickenham Art Society in Hillingdon & Ruislip Art Society.
