I’m a qualified art teacher. I enjoy meeting other artists and helping people achieve pleasure and success with painting and drawing.
I give demonstrations, talks and workshops to art societies and offer private lessons for one or two people at a time from my studio.
My demonstrations and workshops cover a range of subjects. But I specially love encouraging painters to work from what they see in front of them. So my tuition is often based on portraits with a sitter, a still life of plants and flowers (probably using querky and unexpected objects), or developing a painting from notes and sketches.
If a painting group arranges an out-of-doors venue, I’m delighted to be a tutor and advisor.
I give private lessons for one or two people from my studio,(and in my large garden when the weather is suitable). In 2015 I’m planning to arrange short courses of lessons from home. Please look out details after the new year.
