The New Pastel School was founded by myself and pastel artist Nel Whatmore in 2013 in response to a demand for in depth pastel tuition. We offer a range of 3 day courses in Devon and Yorkshire for all abilities from complete beginners to more experienced artists. Between us we specialise in a range of subject matter including landscape, floral, animals, figures, portraits, still life and architecture. We both use pastels with energy and life but approach our work in very different ways, so can offer a varied and interesting few days!
I also offer one day courses at my studio near Exeter in Devon.
I give demonstrations and workshops for art groups in Devon and further afield, and am happy to tailor a demo or workshop to the interests of the group.
I also offer private tuition for adults, and give illustrated talks about my career in the arts, including theatre and interior design in London.
