I am a contemporary still life painter inspired by the beauty of the natural world. I am currently Artist in Residence at Spetchley Park Gardens near Worcester and these gardens are often the starting point for many of my paintings.
I work in the classical tradition of painting but my use of colour and subject matter is contemporary. A recent development in my work is painting very detailed floral paintings on gold leaf. The gold providing an additional reflective surface. I have exhibited widely across the UK including the Mall Galleries in London.
Art was part of the tapestry of my family life. I studied Fine Art at Worcester University and painting at Malvern Hills College and the Norfolk Painting School. I taught art for 15 years before working full time as an artist from my home studio.
