Bridge of Sighs- Venice

Leonora de Lange

The famous bridge which connects the Doges Palace and the Jail in Venice, known as the " Bridge of Sighs" painted in watercolours from a photograph which I took on a visit to Venice several years ago. I started with a poured wahs of alizarin crimson and Untramarine blue ,spraying off the light area and allowing to dry, then adding al the other details on top.
