Nestled in the foothills
Exploring the subtle yet potentially dramatic colour palette of the tinted charcoal paints suggested a brooding landscape of towering, craggy mountains which I have contrasted with the little hamlet nestled in the foothills and surrounded by the softer green shades rather than the dark brown tones of the mountains. Note: this picture was painted in tinted charcoal paint but the nearest media category was "liquid charcoal".
