The Colours of Joy
I painted this pastel piece to enter the inaugural North York Moors Art Award earlier this year. I was delighted to receive the “people’s prize”, having received the majority of votes by the visiting public.
The painting captures a moment in time as the clouds skittered past, bringing ever changing patterns of light and shade across the joyful colours of the heather moors and distant valley.
