Ali says:
“Bees have tremendous significance for me, it’s my husband’s nickname and the symbol of the city where an old friend and my favourite band are from. Therefore whenever I see a bee or include them in my paintings, they bring joy and positivity to my work, a little of which we could all do with at the moment.”
