ENJOYABLE & FUN PAINTING CLASSES, WORKSHOPS & HOLIDAYS
Do you wish to access the creativity that you just know is there, but don’t quite know how to let it out? You’re not sure where to start or you may feel you can’t paint at all, then my painting workshops are ideal for you, because I believe everyone can paint – you just need to be shown in a way that is right for you. Even if you have never painted before, you can get exciting results immediately. Step-by-step instruction will allow you to build up your own painting with confidence.
These workshops are also ideal for those with experience – I have had several professional artists come for tuition to access a different way of painting.
When we use oils, we use a unique painting method whereby wet oil is applied on top of wet oil without waiting for each layer to dry. Unlike traditional oil paints, each colour has a different consistency and these can be applied on top of a variety of surfaces painted onto the canvas, each one producing a different effect. In addition, we may use acrylic and other mediums – I love combining elements.
My aim is to provide a supportive environment, where people feel relaxed and comfortable, leaving you, the artist, room to have fun and be free to paint your own world.
Classes include all materials, ie canvas, brushes, paints, palette and easel, not forgetting an apron!
ONE-TO-ONE TUITION, ONE-TO-TWO TUITION AND GROUPS
Sometimes the best way to start painting is on a one-to-one basis, where you will receive full attention in a comfortable environment aimed at building your confidence or maybe you would like to master a particular aspect of painting such as clouds, trees or bushes and improve your own technique. Whatever the reason, I will make sure the tuition meets your aims and requirements.
Alternatively, you may wish to share the ‘joy of painting’ and hold a small private class for you with a friend, member of the family or get together with a fellow art student.
Working in a group can be a lot of fun too, as everyone soon realises they are in the same boat. The support and rapport with others can be invaluable. Groups are kept small to ensure individual attention. I live on the Isle of Wight and am happy to travel throughout the UK and overseas – workshops are held in a venue local to the group.
Painting Holidays are available in France. Luxury accommodation in the heart of the French countryside with superb food created by the in-house chef, together with fun painting classes. There is also time to relax, rest or explore the surrounding sights. The next holiday is 13th to 20th June 2015.
