HMS Queen Elizabeth - The Super Aircraft carrier recently sailed safely home into Portsmouth to continue her journey into the Royal Navy. We were lucky enough to be on the roof of a friends house by the Square Tower along the south coast which leads into Portsmouth harbour. What a joy it was to behold and how proud I felt as it sailed past so close that I could almost touch her. I was amazed at how many boats had come out to welcome her home.
This painting was created with mixed media and given a distinct 3D effect to this magnificient ship and the surrounding boats.
