Lusky
I read a series of articles by Colin Bradley, who really is my inspiration. I have never done a pet portrait ever up and till this point.
This was a commission for a Pedigree Collie Dog. It was a beautiful dog to draw in pastel pencils, keeping the fur stylistic and photographic. I learned how to layer up pastel colours for instance the black is layered up with grey first to get the tones then black on top. The white is built up first then greys are layered in between for different values of tones. The pinks and alizarin crimson was layered up for the tongue. It was exciting and fun to see the outcome.
