BIO
In 2009 Dbee gave up her job as a Quality and Environmental Engineer and moved to Penang, Malaysia to support her Husband in his overseas work assignment. There she rekindled her love for painting and studied Chinese art and calligraphy. She uses all different types of media, but painting on delicate rice paper is her favourite. It’s such a challenge, as unlike canvas or watercolour paper, mistakes can rarely be rectified. Even when the painting is completed it has to be ‘backed’ with glue and more rice paper to give the painting stability for framing which can sometimes damage the finished artwork. Dbee has recently completed the story and illustrations for her second children’s book in the ‘Lilly Finds’ series, both now published and available as Apple eBooks with audio, on Kindle (No audio) and also on Amazon as printed paperback books.

How these unique books work
- These books are suitable for all ages and can be enjoyed by children and adults at the same time. Each ‘Odd’ numbered page is designed to be read by adults to children or older readers, whilst younger readers can count worms and look for bugs or flowers. Younger readers can learn to read the ‘Even’ numbered pages and later read all the pages themselves. Audio is also available on every page for extra fun and support. Thus the fun and learning experience can start from any age and all can enjoy this book together.

Preface - Lilly is a quirky, happy little girl whose thoughts creep down her arms like raindrops and flow into her fingers which tingle for something interesting to do. EXHIBITIONS
Dbee has enjoyed being part of numerous joint Exhibitions and Art Trails in Malaysia and in the UK, but truly loved her first solo exhibition in Penang, Malaysia, ’Lost and Found’ where she first started to exhibit her ‘Fusion Art,’ a mix of East and West media and techniques. The Exhibition ran for 6 weeks. Dbee has also lent her artwork to local Hotels and Cafes in Malaysia, and more recently, exhibits her artwork in a local Medical Practice in Emsworth.
