Elsa
This drawing of Elsa the wolfhound was a commission for some Canadians who stopped in my B&B on the Isle of Lewis.
I read a series of articles by Colin Bradley, who really is my inspiration. I have never done a pet portrait ever up and till this point.
This was brilliant to tryout and one of my favourite dog commissions.
I use pastel pencil because I like the line detail effect I can portray. I had fun with this and I could really go to town with the fur. I use soft pastels for a blended background. This was brilliant to tryout and one of my favourite dog commissions.
