Dandelions and Clover
This painting represents a 'moment in time' because there are dandelions which show time against two butterflies which also make me feel that they hatch in a moment of time after being a caterpillar.
I painted it in watercolour, the softness of the paint against the detail in the dandelions. I interspersed some splashes of colour and paint, trying to keep it light and with an exciting composition, slightly botanical with a contemporary style. My inspiration came from Ann Blockley and Janet Whittle.
I had to be careful not to overwork it and know when to stop painting.
