Silent stare
This is a watercolour of a stag in a wood as the snow falls.
The picture is a double take of the stag, as you cant tell if he is looking towards us or away from us. The snow effect is made by sprinkling salt over damp paint.
As with a lot of pctures painted by artists I have complimented the shape of the stag's antlers with the twigs and branches of the trees.
Painted over A4 Bockingford 300gm paper. I found a simple sillohette image of the stag from the internet.
