Beach baby rock climbing
The second of two 'Beach baby' figure studies, this work was based on an old photograph of my younger daughter as a toddler. The original snap was taken at an indoor children's swimming pool as she climbed up onto the side. I have experimented with a crimson red underwash to give a warm glow whilst using a base of bold colours which show through the lighter sand.
