The Flying Scotsman
On a grey day in December, my daughter took a video of The Flying Scotsman. I then made a screen shot of the speeding train for this composition. Allowing the black paper to show through for the main railway track, the front of the engine and carriage outlines, I worked in very soft pastels to create the blurry effect. The railway lines were drawn with a sharp pastel pencil.
