Deep in thought!
I thought to capture the “Blow Away” straw coloured hair, that black pastel paper would be ideal. I never gave a thought as to what effect it would have on completing the rest of the drawing. It was a struggle to say the least and I had to fix an initial “coat” and then add more detail on top. Having done this on a couple of occasions I would be interested to know why, after fixing, areas of the paper suddenly will not accept further addition of pastel?
