A water colour painting of “Muis” our Meyer’s parrot
Although we have several parrots (and dogs) you would think I have a willing supply of ideal subjects to be painted. However, as I don’t enjoy doing overly detailed works I particularly struggle with feathers!
This painting was an attempt to use a wet on wet technique to just give an impression of the feather structure. However, after the initial run of wet on wet there was very little evidence of any feathers so I did continue to fiddle with the colours….
