Mmm perhaps Ratatouille?
This was intended as a 30 minute sketch of a still life using a newly purchased Dotspen. However, it may have been a good idea to practice with the Dotspen first.. So after about 10 minutes I had sketched the outlines and put in some shading but it hadn’t quite turned out as I’d envisaged it would. Fortunately I had some Derwent Inktense pencils at hand so rather than just give up I added a bit of colour. With a couple of minutes to go the background was looking streaky and so I quickly mixed some Cadmium Red gouache and applied a quick wash which I finished just as the timer alarm sounded..
