Vic after a shower

A painting of Vic my Bronze Winged Pionus after I had given her a shower. Although Vic has an outside section to her aviary she enjoys me giving her a shower with a spray bottle. Once finished, like all birds, she fluffs up her feathers and on this occasion I was able to get a good photo of her. The darkening of her wet feathers accentuates the colouring of her beak and to a greater extent her eyes. The aim of the painting was to try and capture this.
