Sunset over the Cooling Towers Revisited

Although the title says “revisited” I actually started this version first. I was going to do this as a large “compartmentalised” painting on a stretched canvas for my friends Art Exhibition but the canvas wasn’t quite tight enough and I wasn’t sure how to tighten it… The loose canvas made it more difficult to draw the rigid shapes required. Therefore I did a painting on mixed media paper for the exhibition. Having already sketched an outline on the canvas and not to be deterred, I found out how to stretch the canvas further using the pegs provided and painted a more traditional version.
I used a variety of “Script” acrylic paints - Dimensional, Satin and Metallic - to get the effect I wanted. Painted on a Hobbycraft A2/380g stretched canvas.
