The Wrong Beer!
An acrylic painting done for the SAA challenge “Glass”.
Initially I experimented with various glass objects and different lighting but without much success. Then I realised that I have a selection of Belgian beer glasses (my wife is Belgian). So I decided on a composition of various glasses along with a bottle of Belgian beer. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the only bottle I had access to when I was setting up the composition was for a beer called La Chouffe which I don’t have a specific glass for. Hence the name of the artwork…
I used a variety of “Script” acrylic paints and Hobbycraft acrylic paints plus Series 3 heavy bodied titanium white acrylic on Clairefontaine 250gm mixed media paper. I also used a ink pens for some small highlights and some of the wording on the glasses
